The Spring 2024 Policy & Procedure Subscription Service Workshop is scheduled for Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. – Noon at the Hilton Torrey Pines with a separate registration required to attend. 

Advance registration for the Policy & Procedure Subscription Service Workshop is required.  On-site registration will not be available. 

Diligent Community: The Future of Board Management for BoardDocs Users on Thursday, May 2 from 1:30 – 2:45 p.m.

Registrants of the Annual Executive Assistants Legal Issues Workshop (EALIW) and/or the Policy  & Procedure Workshop are encouraged to “add on” to their registration the complimentary BoardDocs session. The session is not offered as a separate registration without attending one of the workshops mentioned above.

BoardDocs users will have the opportunity to learn more about Diligent Community, the next-generation governance management software built for community colleges.  This session provides an overview of Diligent Community and its advanced features, including tools for managing committees, livestream meetings and policies. Includes a discussion on the migration process, how to prepare, and what to expect as well as training and other resources available to help support a successful transition.

The Spring 2024 Policy & Procedure Service Workshop will focus on:

  • foundational elements of the Service,
  • highlights from the Spring 2024 biannual Legal Update #44 due to be disseminated in late April 2024 just prior to the Workshop.  (Note:  Legal Update #44 is anticipated to be the largest legal update in the Service’s 24-year history!),
  • summary of recent court cases and legislation impacting policies/procedures, and
  • best practices and solution-generating opportunities with other colleges/districts.
