Federal Advocacy

It is more important than ever for California community college stakeholders to be engaged in advocacy efforts at the federal level to ensure our colleges can continue to offer quality public education to California students. The League has identified several critical federal advocacy issues and developed supplemental documents to assist you in advocating for California's community colleges.

Are you attending the 2019 National Legislative Summit?

Don't miss the California Delegation Breakfast & Briefing on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the National Legislative Summit in Washington D.C. Now more than ever, we must unite and advocate for policies that equitably serve our students and ensure community colleges are a priority for Congress. This year we will be joined by Congressman Ami Bera, Chair of the California Public Higher Education Congressional Caucus.

In partnership with the Foundation for California Community Colleges, the Community College League of California hosts the California Delegation Breakfast & Briefing during the 2019 National Legislative Summit. NOTE: Separate registration for the breakfast is required.

Join us in a meeting to strengthen our collective voice as we prepare for productive visits on Capitol Hill.
