Event Information

A primary goal of CLA is to offer a participant-centered experience through active learning and interaction with colleagues. Thus, all CEOs are asked to bring to the Academy a challenging issue they are confronting to share with peers and session facilitators.

Participants in CLA will leave with a list of CEO colleagues with expertise in different areas of the role willing to confer over the phone, in-person, or via Zoom; a “cheat sheet” of promising practices in areas as distinct as negotiations and collective bargaining, managing toxic employees, and board-CEO or chancellor-president relations; and perhaps most vitally, either strengthened relationships with peers, or an introduction to one or more new colleagues to offer mutually beneficial support in the months and years to come.
