We invite you to attend the 27th Annual Classified Leadership Institute and enjoy three information-packed days at Granlibakken Conference Center in beautiful Tahoe City. In partnership with the California Community Colleges Classified Senate (4CS), the annual Institute focuses on leadership training, professional development, and effective staff participation in the participatory governance process, both at the local and state-wide levels.

Conference registration fees include all conference activities and meals. Fees do not include lodging, all attendees are responsible for their own hotel reservations.

Cancellation Policy
All refund requests must be made in writing. To request a refund for your registration email Sadie Brown at sadie@ccleague.org. A $50 processing fee will be charged for all cancellations. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after Thursday, May 30, 2019.

Full payment by credit card is due at the time of registration. If you have any questions, please contact Sadie Brown at sadie@ccleague.org.

The Granlibakken Conference Center is a rustic resort located in Tahoe City, California. Participants stay in rustic but comfortable shared quarters ranging from hotel style room to a condo with multiple rooms. You can make your own hotel reservations by calling Granlibakken at (800) 543-3221.
Area Information
Located within a mile of Lake Tahoe, Granlibakken is 55 minutes from Reno, two hours from Sacramento and four hours from San Francisco. Nestled in its own picturesque mountain valley, Granlibakken is situated on 74 acres of wooded grounds with a large heated pool, six tennis courts, two saunas, and an outdoor spa plus nearby nature trails, river rafting, golf and boating on Lake Tahoe. For those of you who plan to arrive prior to Wednesday, June 12th, or stay later Saturday, we ask that you make your own arrangements. Since Granlibakken may be sold out on those evenings, it may be necessary for you stay at another property. For assistance, contact the North Lake Tahoe Convention and Visitor’s Bureau at 800/824-6348.

Parking – Parking is complimentary at Granlibakken for attendees of the Classified Leadership Institute.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE
Granlibakken offers airport shuttle service from and to the Reno/Tahoe International Airport for $98/person (single rider) or $49/person (2 + passengers). Guests wishing to book the shuttle should call (800) 543-3221 seven days or more in advance. The airport shuttle is by reservation only. If at all possible, please try to coordinate your travel times with others attending the seminar. For several people traveling together, it is probably cost effective to look into renting a car rather than taking a shuttle.
DRIVING
From San Francisco/Sacramento:
From Sacramento, 100 miles from Granlibakken, take Interstate 80 East toward Reno/North Lake Tahoe. . Take Exit 185 for State Highway 89S going right at the traffic circle. Take the first exit onto CA-89 S. Drive 15 miles to Tahoe City, CA. Upon entering Tahoe City, before the stop light in Tahoe City, bear to the right, crossing over the bridge and continuing for a one-half mile to Granlibakken Road on your right.
From Reno/Tahoe International Airport (54 miles):
Take Highway 395 North onramp from the Airport to I-80 West/Sacramento to Exit 185 (Truckee) to CA-89 S to Tahoe City. Follow directions listed above from Sacramento to North Lake Tahoe/ Granlibakken.
From Southern California:
Take I-405 North toward Sacramento. Continue on I-5N. Take exit 522 to merge onto I-80 E toward Reno. Follow directions listed above from Sacramento to North Lake Tahoe/Granlibakken or Take US-395 North; continue onto US-50 West, then NV-28 South, at the traffic circle exit onto Tahoe Blvd onto NV-28 West/Lakeshore Blvd and follow signs to Granlibakken.
Meetings & Activities
4CS Business Meeting
The California Community Colleges Classified Senate (4CS) will be holding their annual business meeting, swearing in officers and acting on various items on Saturday, June 15. The Business Meeting is open to all classified staff of the California Community Colleges. Registration for the conference is not necessary to attend only the 4CS Business Meeting.
Opportunity Drawing
The annual 4CS Opportunity Drawing will be held throughout the first two days of the conference. The purpose of the drawing is to raise funds to support the operations of the 4CS. Please also consider bringing something to donate to the 4CS Opportunity Drawing either as an individual or from your senate. Memento Exchange
Individual participants are encouraged to bring a memento that is representative of their college to exchange with other participants. The memento exchange is designed to encourage networking and interaction between participants.
CLI Awards and Recognition Program
2019 Outstanding Classified Staff Recognition Program. Our goal is to include and recognize, statewide, all classified staff that has received an award anytime from July 2018 through May 2019. With your help, they will be included in our slide presentation during the Classified Leadership Institute 2019 and on our website following the event. The award submissions will be collected online.
